Good to know
Smart Insights needs an active paid plan or trial and at least 5 reviews with text. It reads up to your 200 most recent reviews with text and keeps results for up to 24 hours. Themes, mention counts and impact labels are written by AI and can be off, so treat them as a starting point. The broken link check needs a connected Google Business Profile.
How does Smart Insights find themes in my reviews?
It sends the text of up to your 200 most recent reviews to an AI model, which groups them into 3 to 5 themes. Each theme gets a mention count, a sentiment, a one-line summary and two quotes taken from your reviews.
How often are insights updated?
Results are kept for up to 24 hours. After that, the next time you open the dashboard they are rebuilt from your latest reviews.
Is the impact label a forecast?
No. Labels like “+0.2 avg stars” are short estimates written by the AI to show the rough size of an opportunity. They are not calculated from your data and are not a promise.
How many reviews do I need?
At least 5 reviews with written text. Star-only ratings are not used because there is nothing to read.
Which plans include Smart Insights?
Smart Insights is available on paid plans and during your trial, including Starter at $29.99 a month.
What counts as a broken place link?
When Google is connected, each sync checks up to 12 action links on your Business Profile, such as ordering or booking links. A link that returns an error or does not respond is counted on your dashboard.
